‘The Heart of Nature’ gently blends birdsong, sea sounds, natural atmospheres and relaxing music to create soundscapes which evoke a sense of peace and encourage a deeper connection with nature itself. Renowned for their beautiful natural sound recordings and music for deep relaxation, the British group Symbiosis have now combined these two elements of their work on their latest album to create new listening experience…

The aim is to help people fully relax in nature: wherever and whenever they are listening; and to let the listener benefit from all the associations that ‘being in nature’ can bring!

The wide variety of gentle natural sounds on the album includes the Pacific Ocean, gentle sea wash from Sydney, the songs of endangered birds in New Zealand and Colombian frogs by night. The music itself is ambient, atmospheric and timeless, and features the mellifluous flute-playing of John Hackett.

The group’s Music Producer and Sound Designer, Clive Williamson, began recording sounds of nature on a visit to New Zealand, and now that streaming of Symbiosis nature sounds alone has exceeded 3 million streams on Spotify and Apple Music, he feels strongly that it is time to ‘give something back’ to the environment. “We have already supported Butterfly Conservation in the UK and New Zealand’s Tiritiri Matangi Island Nature Reserve,” says Clive, “and now we are planning to donate some of the royalties from The Heart of Nature to help ecological projects here in England!” (See below…)

Symbiosis have selected four U.K. nature and wildlife charities, which they will support by donating a total of 20% of the income from streaming and download sales of this album, to be split equally between:

Butterfly Conservation; Devon Wildlife Trust; The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB); and The Woodland Trust. Donations will be made via each charity’s online ‘Giving’ pages.

ALSO SUPPORTING NATURE: An Apology to Planet Earth EP by Symbiosis, released through Sounds Right, which recognises NATURE as an artist in its own right and enables artists who include natural sounds in their work to generate royalties to support ecological and nature conservation projects worldwide.
